Senior Global Supply Chain Planner/Analyst

This position works closely with the corporate master scheduling function to assist in developing cross functional production schedules for various independent global contract manufacturing (CM) sites. Assists the business units by working with each CM to ensure they understand production and shipping requirements and secures a handshake from each CM that documents their commitment to the schedule. Monitors key elements of the supply chain to ensure the CM’s are executing to the agreed build schedule and shipping commitments. Initiates actions to ensure compliance to commitments and escalates to management as required to ensure schedule attainment. Facilitates changes to the schedule and secures new commitments as changes to the schedule are made. This position has a significant strategic element requiring fundamental knowledge of the operational aspects of a global supply chain beginning with raw materials through finished configured to order product and is also responsible for the planning and implementation of new global supply chain programs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develops project plans using Microsoft Project and Excel
  • Supports the sustaining global production operations by ensuring schedule attainment
  • Develops processes in support of global production planning and schedule attainment
  • Works closely with global supply chain managers to secure schedule understanding and commitments to requirements
  • Supports the global supply chain managers by working with OEM channel customers in developing supply chain strategies in support of flexibility requirements
  • Works closely with the global supply chain CM’s to develop and ensure tier two and tier three compliance to flexibility requirements and associated hubbing strategies

Experience requirements:

  • Master scheduling and production planning experience - Hands on experience with material and master planning / scheduling for high tech manufacturing companies including experience with global (Asian) production operations. Procurement experience is a plus
  • Experience developing and implementing strategic global supply chains
  • Contract manufacturing experience in high tech industries
  • Hands on experience with Oracle to include ERP and report development/writing experience.
  • Knowledge of BOM structures and ECO planning and implementation processes – experience with rules based configuration
  • New product introduction procurement experience
  • Excel literate to include data transporting and pivot table development
  • Microsoft Project and Agile literate
  • Business acumen and effective negotiation skills

Education and/or Experience:

  • Degree in business (BS/MBA) or related field.
  • Requires 5 to 8 years of directly related experience
